NEIGHBORHOODS
At Artisan Renovations, we believe a true community shouldn't be gated or fenced in – it should seamlessly meld into its surroundings. That's why we chose Indy's beautiful historic neighborhoods for our projects. Most provide a short walk to shopping and dining. Bike paths are also prevalent. We’ve found these up and coming neighborhoods offer a true “community feel”, convenience, and continually rising resale values for those who invest there.
Fountain squarE
Dating back to 1871, Fountain Square was the first commercial historic district in Indiana. It is one of six Indianapolis Cultural Districts and on the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. The area is continually welcoming new businesses spanning the gamut from live music and performance, fashion, comics, musical instruments, and dining options galore. So, whether it’s day or night — something is going on in Fountain Square. In common with our other focus neighborhoods, remodeling older homes and new construction has been very active in the area for several years. We believe an investment in this area is a good choice as the area continues it’s makeover.
FLETCHER PLACE
This once Italian neighborhood just south of downtown Indianapolis has seen quite the rebound over the last 7 years. Existing homes have been remodeled with a contemporary flair. The landscape is also dotted with new, angular homes and sleek apartment buildings that are making a statement of their own. Foodies will love the dining options on College Avenue and Virginia Avenue. For history buffs, this is part of the Indianapolis Cultural Trail self tours. It is also listed as one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Indianapolis.
St. clair place
Historic St. Clair Place dates back to 1880. Many of the existing homes we renovate were built in the early 1900’s. This area has been the focus of Near East Area Renewal since 2009. Block by block improvements have been made to roads, bike paths, sidewalks. This has encouraged current homeowners to update their properties. Other properties have been completely remodeled — and many of them we have done. With an active neighborhood association and community center, St. Clair residents take personal pride in their neighborhood and are welcoming to new businesses and homeowners.
